Free Online Training Designed Especially for Church Volunteers

On Wednesday, September 15, 2004, MILLIONS of Christian students of all ages from across the nation and around the world will gather at their school's flagpole before school starts to pray and worship Jesus Christ publicly! The rallying cry of this generation's prayer movement is "SEE YOU AT THE POLE!" However, you can bet the hosts of hell are also rallying their evil troops right now. The short demonic memo that follows shares some insights on exactly how the enemy may try to short circuit this student prayer movement this year--and more importantly--the information that follows the short demonic memo includes critically important information about preparing students for this day of prayer and students' rights.

We Hope We Don't "See You at the Pole!"
(A Demonic General Writes a Memo to His Evil Troops)

RE: We Hope We Don’t “See You at the Pole!"

My little demons of deception, another school year is upon us! In years past, we were often able to undo any work the Enemy did in Christian students over the summer simply by returning them to school—where we could, through certain teachers and students, slowly put out their Holy Spirit fire! Thus, we used to look forward to the start of another school year! Where else could you see a Christian student who left a camp determined to become a missionary or a youth pastor chicken out totally to the point where NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE SCHOOL knew he/she was a Christian! HA! The beginning of school used to mean that those students who made promises to God to leave the partying life got back into the same partying activities they promised to leave! I LOVE IT! The same Christian students who, over the summer promised to save sexual activity for marriage, were once again tempted—and often lured into the very same sins they renounced a month or two earlier! The Christian students who diligently read their Bibles and walked with God with intensity would, once school started, get so busy with school that they would forget all about spending time with God! YES! That was what the beginning of school used to mean to us. However, that has all changed now!

New School Year = New Trouble… FOR US!
One reason I am dreading this school year—mostly for you—is because the Christian students you are in charge of intimidating, frustrating, discouraging, and deceiving are starting to march into our schools like soldiers of Jes.... um.... you know who (I hate to even say his name!). These students used to fear taking a public stand for their faith in… you know who. NOT NOW! They not only live the Christian life, they actually TELL other students we own about how they can become Christians too! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Even worse some of these radicals openly identify with our Enemy on their school campuses by starting on-campus Bible studies, challenging our teachers of evolution, and carrying their Bibles!

A BIG Problem: See You at the Pole, Wednesday, September 15, 2004!
All this to say, you need to start preparing for the damage that will be inflicted upon us and our devilish cause through the ministry momentum of the See You at the Pole movement! The dreaded day is Wednesday, September 15, 2004! Because See You at the Pole is about mobilizing Christian students—we must not underestimate how our heavenly Enemy is strategically using this for His glory! This year MILLIONS of Christian students will publicly identify with our Enemy by meeting at the flagpole of their schools to worship and pray together before school starts! This student movement of prayer and worship (can you think of anything else that makes your demonic heart tremble in utter fear?) continues to grow every year and must be stopped!

Intimidation: The Key to Stopping Christian Students and SYATP!
How can you successfully stop Christian students from taking a stand for God on their school campuses across North America? Intimidate them in two strategic ways!

1. Intimidate them through the fear of public ridicule. Find some of our more vociferous students and have them heckle and harass these pathetic saints of God!

2. Intimidate them through the school administrators. Use lies and threats! Have the adults who are a part of the school system lie to students by telling them they cannot meet at the flagpole to pray! Have them lie to the Christian students by threatening them with falsities and legalities. Of course, all of this is false—but the Christian students don’t need to know this! If All Else Fails…
If intimidation does not stop these See-You-at-the-Pole radicals, then try to get them to sleep in on Wednesday, September 15, 2004. Mess up their alarm clocks! Seek to cause car trouble… or bus trouble, as the case may be. Stop the students by stopping the parents—if at all possible! DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO STOP ANY AND EVERY CHRISTIAN STUDENT FROM PARTICIPATING IN SEE YOU AT THE POLE THIS YEAR! We are currently working with the weather department to see what we can stir up, but I would not count on any help from them. We all know who ultimately controls the weather… don’t we.

The School Year Is On the Line!
Yes, school is starting again. If we can hinder the explosive growth and impact of the worship and prayers of See You at the Pole, we just might be able to use this school year to our evil advantage. If we get run over again this year—like we did by last year’s THREE MILLION PRAYING STUDENTS, we will be lucky to cool these crazy Christian students down by March of this school year—and by then—many of them have had their spiritual batteries charged by their church’s youth ministry or winter retreats! The thought of the damage these Christian students could inflict on us by taking a public stand for our Enemy is absolutely alarming. You have your work cut out for you—now go to it!

Don’t Just Sit There—Do Something About It!
1. If you could see God do something totally AWESOME through See You at the Pole this year—what—in your wildest spiritual dreams—would you like to see Him do in and through you? Be specific… and wildly imaginative!
2. Now read Ephesians 3:20. What does this verse say about how AWESOME God can work in and through you if you dare to let him?
3. Why does God love to do more than we can think or imagine—see Ephesians 3:21
4. What are some SPECIFIC ways the enemy may try to keep YOU from participating in worship and prayer at See You at the Pole this year? How can you make sure the enemy does not win in your life?
5. Think of the Christian students you know who go to your school. (They don’t have to necessarily go to your church youth ministry.) Print this out or forward this to them. Start talking about See You at the Pole NOW—and do your best to get as many students there as you possibly can! Visit <www.syatp.org> and make a game plan.
6. Read Romans 1:16. Are you ashamed to publicly identify with Jesus Christ through See You at the Pole? Why or why not?
7. What are some specific ways Satan and his demons may try to intimidate YOU?
8. Read Acts 4:18-20. What was Peter and John’s response when they were told not to publicly identify with Jesus Christ?
9. Why does Satan HATE it when Christian students publicly identify with Jesus Christ on their school campuses? What is it about prayer and worship that makes Satan and his demons tremble?
10. Go through the Pre-Pole Checklist that follows. Print it out and share it with other students! Pass this on to your youth workers!

Questions to Consider...
1. Have you informed your principal about this event?

2. What time will you begin on your campus—Before school? At lunch? After school?

3. Where on your campus will you gather?

4. Do you have an alternative meeting place off the school property?

5. Do you have an alternative meeting place in case of rain?

6. Do you have more than one flagpole to choose from?

7. Should students wear Christian t-shirts promoting the day?

8. Will someone supply any other means of signifying participation?

9. How will you handle distractions such as traffic noise, onlookers, etc.?

10. How will you begin the event? Who will lead off?

11. Will there be other elements, such as singing?

12. Will you hold hands, kneel down, break into small groups, remain in a large group, etc.?

13. What will you pray for or about on that day?

14. Will you have audible or silent prayer?

15. How will you know when it’s over?

16. Has a student contacted/informed the FCA and/or other Christian organizations’ adult representative(s) at your school?

17. How will you answer questions regarding your participation in this event?

18. How can each person promote this event before September 15?

19. Will you have a post-SYATP rally?

20. Will you be the one, even if no one else will?

1. Intercede
“For God so love the world….” It was God’s heart of love for us that drove him to intercede for us. When our hearts are filled with God’s love for others, we too will want to learn how to intercede for those who do not yet know Christ personally. Since impacting your world requires the power of the Holy Spirit—and is not about mere human technique or skills alone—you must learn to connect with the heart of God via prayer for those He has placed in your relational sphere of influence. In this first session, we will pray (not just talk about prayer)—and experience how prayer unleashes God’s power in the lives of those in our relational sphere of influence.

2. Invest
“For God so love the world that he gave….” The natural result of connecting with God’s heart through prayer is a desire to invest in a relationship with people who do not yet know Jesus as Savior—to love people with God’s love. In this session we study how Jesus invested in the lives of those around him who did not yet have a relationship with God. You will learn the Zacchaeus Principle. You will explore eight reasons why Christians tend not to invest in relationships with non-Christians. Finally, you will learn five great ways to relationally invest in and connect with the hearts of those people God has placed in your world.

3. Intersect
“For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son…” How do you intersect God with those in your relational sphere of influence? It all depends on where people are in their spiritual journey. In this session you will study how Jesus intersected God's truth with the real world of the woman at the well—and then apply intersecting-truths you learn from Jesus to the lives of those in your relational sphere of influence.

4. Invite
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosever believeth in should not perish but have everlasting life.” In this final session you will learn, practice, and begin to master a very fun and effective way to share the gospel—and invite those in your relational sphere of influence to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. When you leave you will be able to share the Gospel clearly and effectively.
